Meet  Anne

Anne was born in Cedar City and raised in Davis County in a family where adding value to the community was a way of life. Her father served as a juvenile-court judge, and her mother taught high school English. Today, Anne lives in Layton and remains deeply connected to the community that raised her, with a family history stretching back to Christopher Layton.

 

Anne’s focus on building community has taken her around the world to China, the United Kingdom, Samoa, DC, and Philadelphia, shaping her belief that leadership is about connection and responsibility, not status.

 

In Samoa, she volunteered with the Peace Corps to help clean out the Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG) offices after Cyclone Evan, working alongside local advocates helping families recover from the crisis. She has interfaced with heads of state, hosted the Peace Corps for Thanksgiving, hosted US veterans for Veterans Day, hosted diplomatic receptions, volunteered at SVSG as a teacher, treated children from SVSG to Easter egg hunts at the official U.S. Residence in Apia, and adopted a child from SVSG.

From her international experience, Anne understands how to navigate diverse, intricate touch points, negotiating solutions through a combination of sound data and empathy. She understands diplomacy on micro and macro levels.

 

Professionally, Anne has worked across healthcare, technology, communications, and finance. She holds a Master’s degree in English and is currently completing her MBA, bringing both clear thinking and human understanding to complex problems.

 

Anne is the proud mother of five and grandmother of four. She is running to help preserve dignity and stability for families in Davis County and to bring steady, human-centric leadership back to public service.
